When i get my semester break last winter, i decided to go to holiday for visit my cousin who lives in Gallipoli Turkey and working in tourism sector since 3 years . His name is John and his Turkey adventure was started very interesting . He also went to holiday to this country 3 years ago and joined the 2 weeks tour with the the local Travel agency called New Deal Travel and he enjoyed it so much also he falling love with this great country and decided to live in there . In my second day there he let me join a regular Gallipoli tour which depart approx 12:00 and over around 16:00 pm.Wihout drinks ,everything was included and our guide was so informative . He showed and explain us most important points of Gallipoli . I enjoyed it so much . Highly recommended.
Myself and Dad had a conversation couple of days ago and the subject was our Grandfather Who known as Jimbo as a nick name but his real name was Jim.Unfortunately i never met with him because he died when iwas a child but i growed up with his Patriotic war stories during the Gallipoli Battle in Turkey .Because of this reason ,i decided to visit and attend the regular tour in Gallipoli Turkey where he joined that. After i reached area and check in the hotel i stay overnight . Fallowing day my tour is depart around noon time and we get included lunch first than tour is start officially and takes 3 hours. We almost see the each important spot of the Gallipoli peninsula than i understand deifnetely how to both side of the war written a legend there.
This experience amazed me so much.Even it was a war, i felt proud with my grandfather who fight for the intangible and for his country.Rest in peace Grandfather. You will be always in our heart as a Hero.
